A school bus reportedly suffered brake failure and crashed into multiple vehicles waiting at a red light in Phetchaburi’s Muang district on July 12, causing extensive property damage and minor injuries.

The accident occurred at approximately 1:28 p.m. at the Phumrak Road intersection in Tha Rap subdistrict. Emergency responders from the 191 emergency radio center in Phetchaburi were alerted to the scene, where a school bus belonging to a local educational institution had lost control and slammed into the rear of several cars stopped at the traffic light.

Initial reports confirmed multiple vehicles were severely damaged in the incident. At least one person sustained minor injuries, though no serious casualties were reported.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the brake malfunction and whether maintenance issues or driver error contributed to the collision. Further details regarding the school bus’s operator and mechanical condition have yet to be disclosed.
