On 27 June 2025, the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Office continued its fourth day of evaluations for the 2025 Outstanding Community Development Projects in Bang Saphan District. The initiative aims to identify exemplary local development efforts that align with national strategies for sustainable and participatory rural progress.
The evaluation is part of an annual program that recognizes outstanding achievements in four categories: sustainable subdistricts following the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, villages that exemplify the “Living Happily” model, core community development groups or organizations, and outstanding male and female volunteer community leaders.
In Bang Saphan District, five groups were selected to represent the area in the provincial-level evaluation:
- Thong Mongkhon Subdistrict, nominated for its implementation of the Sufficiency Economy model.
- Ban Sai Phet, recognized as a “Sufficiency Economy Village.”
- The Rattan Weaving Community Enterprise of Ban Huai Kriap.
- Mr. Boonsong Sawangjaeng, nominated as an outstanding male volunteer community leader.
- Ms. Sirinthip Nookhao, nominated as an outstanding female volunteer community leader.
This year’s selection process is intended to highlight grassroots development efforts and promote successful models that can be replicated in other areas. The provincial committee is comprised of representatives from key government departments, including public health, local administration, and agriculture.
The delegation, led by Deputy Governor Preeda Sukjai and Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Community Development Chief Kullanit Sriwatcharawat, visited each project site. They were joined by district officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders who provided a warm welcome to the evaluation team.
