Thailand Urges Action on Israel-Hamas Conflict

In a recent statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand, concern was expressed regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, along with the attacks in Rafah and the recent incident in Northern Israel, which tragically resulted in the loss of innocent lives, including injuries to five Thai workers.

The incidents have highlighted the pressing need for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the imperative to establish a lasting peace based on a two-State solution.

Thailand has voiced deep apprehension over the stalled ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas. The nation calls upon all involved parties to redouble their efforts in advancing the talks and achieving a humanitarian ceasefire. Such an agreement would enable increased access for humanitarian aid, thereby easing the suffering of the Palestinian population in Gaza.

Thailand expresses a sincere hope that a ceasefire agreement can be reached before the onset of the holy month of Ramadan. Additionally, Thailand calls for the swift release of all hostages, including Thai nationals, held amid the conflict.

The statement underscores Thailand’s commitment to fostering peace and stability in the region while prioritizing the safety and well-being of its citizens and all those affected by the conflict.
