Thailand has risen one place to 60th on the World Happiness Report 2023, while Finland has retained its title as the world’s happiest country for the sixth year in a row.

The survey assesses happiness levels in 137 nations based on several characteristics such as social support, money, expectations of a healthy life, and views of corruption.

The Sustainable Development Solutions Network issued the study on March 20 to coincide with the International Day of Happiness. Each country’s participants assessed their degree of happiness on a scale of zero to 10, with zero signifying extreme discontent and ten representing perfect contentment.
