Fundraising event held in Hua Hin to support local nonprofits

In a meeting with Hua Hin’s mayor, Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, on October 25, 2022, meeting chairman Mr. Polkrit Phuangvalaisin decided to release crabs and feed monks on the beach as part of the upcoming Rak Lay RUN-FUN-WALK event.

The meeting was held in the Hua Hin Municipality Office meeting room, and it was attended by representatives from the related agencies as well as the municipal administration committee. Some of the representatives in attendance included Lieutenant Colonel Korakot Opas, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Prachuap Khiri Khan Office; Mr. Janewit Plisak, Public Health, Hua Hin District; Amornthep Aummeepian, General Manager Market Village Hua Hin Shopping Center; and others.

Acting Lieutenant Colonel Korakot Opas, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Prachuap Khiri Khan, has stated that the walk-run Rak Lay RUN-FUN-WALK activities, the release of crabs, and the food offerings on Hua Hin Beach are all part of an effort to encourage people to lead healthier lifestyles. After the recent outbreak of the coronavirus, there should be a public health drive encouraging people of all ages to do more exercise.

During the Busy Season, it also helps the local and regional economies by attracting more tourists. This function is planned on the morning of December 4,  at 6:00 a.m. Distance from the page’s beginning to the finish line is 5.9 kilometers, and the event is set up as a walk-run amidst  he early sea breeze and picturesque beach setting of the Market Village Hua Hin Shopping Center on Hua Hin’s beach.

in conjunction to the baby blue crab release   and feeding 30 monks visitors can pose for a photo with the beach horse. There is a 399 baht application fee per individual (which includes a shirt and a medal of recognition). Fun things to do near the water include riding horses, taking selfies while wearing miniskirts, and releasing baby blue crabs.

The application deadline is November 18.  Expenditure surpluses have been donated to the Red Cross King, Hua Hin to aid the city’s destitute, and the Hua Hin Cultural Council has awarded student scholarships with its share to t hose who are well-educated but financially unstable At least 500 people are expected to show up for this event.
