Green production being pushed forward in Thailand

Awareness of environmental issues and a desire to reduce human impact on the planet are two topics that have gained popularity in recent years. The Green Productivity plan is a joint effort between the Thai government and the Thailand Productivity Institute that aims to improve the country’s economic and social fabric.

At their annual conference, the Thailand Productivity Institute and the Asian Productivity Organization discussed how to include green productivity and sustainability into their future initiatives. Deputy Permanent Secretary of Industry Panuwat Triyangkulsri and delegations from the 19 other nations that make up the Asian Productivity Organization were present at the conference.

The purpose of the conference was to plan for future campaigns to increase productivity, as well as to make recommendations and guidelines for promoting Green Productivity and Circular Economy in order to ensure the continued viability of the economy after a pandemic.

Mr. Panuwat said that all nations are now recovering from setbacks caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, and that today’s conference represented a key step towards the promotion of regional production.

According to the Ministry of Industry’s deputy permanent secretary, the Thai government would help businesses of all sizes, public and private, modernize and become more competitive.

According to Mr. Surachet Polwanich, Acting Executive Director of the Thailand Productivity Institute, the Green Productivity concept, technical aspects, and trends that are linked to the Sustainable Development Goals will be promoted at this meeting, which will increase involvement and opportunities for Green Productivity among companies in the Asia-Pacific region.

He said that the gathering provided a forum for Thai and international experts to explore the circular economy idea as a means of bolstering economic resilience in the wake of the epidemic.
