They have cooperated with Nok Air, which is responsible for relocating the aircraft, and have prepared to take the aircraft out of the region with the assistance of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited’s Aircraft Recovery Team.

The following are the action plans:

1. Using compacted rock, the Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai Airport has begun constructing temporary roadways to enable aircraft towing and utilize airplane salvage matting with steel plates to support the aircraft’s weight

2. PTT Public Company Limited has emptied the aircraft’s fuel. Prepare to relocate the aircraft.

Air Chief Marshal Somchanok further stated that Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai Airport received support and help from numerous authorities, including salvage mats and rescue firemen from Phitsanulok Airport’s Department of Airports. The 41st Airborne Division and the 37th Army Division dispatched 60 personnel, divided into two rotations of 30 each, to collect aircraft steel sheet from the Air Force.

Trailers from the Chiang Rai Provincial Administrative Organization and a mobile lighting vehicle from the Chiang Rai Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office were also provided.  Equipment convoys from Phitsanulok Airport in Chiang Rai Province to Chiang Mai Airport in Chiang Rai Province by Provincial Police Headquarters Region 5 mobile toilets from Chiang Rai Municipality and 4 tents from Pang Lao village will function as field offices.

Air Chief Marshal Somchanok further stated that during the plane’s recovery, The most recent progress is 60 percent complete since the accident, separated into several levels of difficulty, with the first 30 percent being the most tough. Because it is a question of approximation, the next 20% is a matter of equipment, the last 10% is a front lift, which we were able to perform yesterday, which is excellent news, and the final 40% is now free of obstacles.

With the front end elevated, an empty plane weighing 41 tons plus 2 tons of engine oil can be pulled onto the runway first. Then drag carefully  since the plane’s front wheel was damaged to transfer the aircraft is onto the runway .  The salvage procedure is complete from the runway via the road to the halt at No. 7.

In terms of airport damage, there are three runway lights, a conduit system, and so on. However, it has little impact on the airplane, which is already being repaired in tandem with its salvage. If all goes as planned, the airport might open soon.

At the moment, all stakeholders are working hard to repair the runway. The workforce is required to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week. will be able to get the jet off the runway and allow the route to reopen as normal If all goes according to plan, the airport will reopen on August 3rd as normal.

Air Chief Marshal Somchanok stated in an additional interview that when the plane’s head can be hauled up, the plane’s legs must be checked to see whether or not the machine wheel’s connecting point is broken. If the trailer breaks, it must be rejoined and hauled from where it sank into the ground near the runway. However, due to the wet ground, it may take some time.

Because the plane may weigh up to 60 tons, the crew that operates will be driven at 2 p.m. today and, if successful, this evening  will complete the airport’s opening as soon as possible with cleaning the runway in preparation for the August 3rd opening.

Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai Airport has taken care of and facilitated passengers affected by an aircraft slipping off the runway by providing support for pick-up trucks that left passengers who were unable to travel by car provided by the airline and passengers who wish to travel to Chiang Mai Airport to travel to the destination airport with the Chiang Rai Tourism Business Association and Chiang Rai Rajabhat University.

Metered taxis and limousine taxis are also available 24 hours a day to customers arriving at Chiang Mai Airport. Shops remain open until 22.00 for passengers arriving at Chiang Mai Airport, and measures have been made to help travelers cancel parking costs.

“As for the damage that was not monetary in nature. However, Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai Airport prioritizes passenger safety and emergency solutions. which the past is thought to have passed smoothly since no one was hurt And, as a former pilot, I offer praise to the pilot of this jet. In terms of harm, if you think promptly, Then there are 36 flights each day at Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai Airport, including numerous Boeing aircraft. Each plane can carry roughly 180 people. This is the cost if we multiplied these figures by the three days of closure.

However, the staff will work all night to hope that the flight can be resumed one day before the scheduled time,” said Air Chief Marshal Somchanok.
