On June 24, Acting Commander Adisak Noisuwan, deputy governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan province, presided over the opening of the Coconut Prachuap Festival exhibition and sale of coconut products at the front yard of the Market Village Hua Hin shopping center.
Adisak said that coconut is a cash crop of Prachuap province and the people are proud of it. Coconut is considered the best quality coconut in Thailand. Whether it is the fragrance, the creaminess of the coconut milk or the processing into products for export to foreign markets, the price of coconut in Thap Sakae district is the central price in the country.
In the past, most farmers have reduced their income due to economic conditions. However, coconut is an immune crop that also generates income for farmers both in the form of fresh fruit sales and also processed into various types of derivative products. But in some periods, there are still problems with prices and marketing with the new sales channels. The Provincial Agriculture Office in collaboration with Market Village Hua Hin, have organized a campaign to consume coconut products. This will increase the distribution channels and promote the products.
During the event, there is an exhibition about the Al Coco concept and coconut products with more than 25 booths. It will be possible to see all the derived products. A raffle with a draw will be organized. The more you buy, the more chance you have to win. The awarding of the prize (an electrical appliance) will be every day. The event will run until June 27.
