On June 26 2022, at 9 am., the Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province presided over the opening ceremony of the Power of the Land Overcoming Drug Activity on the occasion of the World Anti-Drug Day 2022. Together with Mr Nopparat Waiampa, Director of the Regional Coordination Department of DEA 7， relevant representatives and non-governmental organizations, more than 200 people attended the event in white shirts.
Mr Watcharin Chandej said that the United Nations General Assembly decided in 1987 that June 26 was designated as Anti-Drug Day every year. Over the years, Thailand has been firmly united with the international community in the anti-drug campaign, with relevant parties from the private and public sectors jointly organizing and conducting anti-drug campaigns. Members of the Prachuap Provincial Fund of Funds have a strong awareness of solving community problems with various organizations and the general public. People and families whose health and finances are affected by drug abuse can contact the Mother Earth Fund for help and support.
Mr Nopparat Waiyampha joined the discussion and shared his experience in the prevention and treatment of drug abuse at the event forum. He said that in addition to strengthening the community’s promotion, he continued to drive the work of the government sector, the private sector and DEA 7 districts’ team support.
