A brand new program with the objective of encouraging young people to participate in activities in the Hua Hin area has recently been initiated. The local government has begun offering a program known as Basic Swimming Training, the goal of which is to encourage growth in four primary domains: the physical, the mental, the emotional, and the social domains, as well as the intellectual domain.
After the tremendously fruitful “Kita Muay Thai” initiative at Ban Samor Phong Municipal School, this program is the second youth center activity that will be offered there. The goal of the program Basic Swimming Training is to instill discipline in young people, teach them how to support themselves and others in times of need, and encourage them to make productive use of their free time. In addition to teaching participants the fundamentals of swimming, the program strives to provide them with the knowledge and abilities they need to remain secure around bodies of water.
At the launch of the initiative, a number of officials, including officials from the Education Division, were present. These officials included Ms. Busaba Choksuchat, the deputy mayor; Provincial Likit Nunin, the deputy municipal clerk; Mr. Monkrit Maraphen, the director of education at Ban Takiap Municipal School; Mr. Sangkhep Jamjamrat, the head of Education Promotion Department; Mrs. Jintana Saenmuang, the head of Planning and Project Department; and Participants in the Basic Swimming Training program included teachers, students from municipal schools, and young people from the Hua Hin municipality. The program was held at the swimming pool of the Army Sergeant School in the Hua Hin District of the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
