“Hua Hin” Pang Marijuana Seri received a better than expected welcome

Ms. Saengduean Songrob, vice president of 789 Thongthai Herb Community Enterprise, revealed that following the latest cannabis law, production has increased significantly. Currently, the 789 Thongthai Herb community enterprise group is growing more than 300 cannabis plants and ordering more seeds to plant in an area of 2 rai.
This investment is expected to produce more than 1,000 new plants, most of them are planted from foreign seeds ordered from government-approved distributors. However the community enterprise warns people who would like to grow for commercial purposes to carefully check the regulatory compliance of their sources of supply because if it is a variety not certified by the Department of Agriculture you may face legal risks. The 789 Thongthai Herb Community Enterprise Group sells cannabis plants to interested industrialists, and the flowers are sold to THC extraction industries to make various medicinal products.
Some of the other products of the group are sold by the group themselves, such as hemp, hemp honey, and hemp massage oil. These products have been well received by Thai and foreign customers. Currently, they are sold in a store located on the 1st floor of the Market Village Hua Hin shopping center. In the future, the store plans to develop other types of products, such as cosmetics and medicines, which will require the supply of primary materials to legally licensed factories.
The commercial cultivation of cannabis should be strictly controlled because if the plants are grown without care it can cause serious legal problems to the farmer. Especially for those who grow in outdoor fields without containment, because the crops could then be pollinated by other undesirable cannabis crops that would contain more THC than the law allows. Because of this potential risk, the Vice President would like to see government agencies such as district agriculture, provincial agriculture and related agencies accelerate training to educate farmers on this new type of crop.
Mr. Tianseng Methanapakhun, director of 789 Thongthai Herb Community Enterprise, said the opening of the cannabis product kiosk at the Market Village Hua Hin shopping mall was very positive, especially with foreigners that paying much attention to the 10 species on offer. The store also sells hemp honey, hemp balm, hemp brownies and hemp plants for customers to grow their own. Interested customers can sign up to get permission to grow cannabis online at the store’s website, however the store will only sell products to customers who are 20 years of age or older.
