Hua Hin resident Nick Fordham narrates this fascinating talk filled with stories of heroism, horror and, ultimately, reconciliation. Nick spent a year researching the story behind the Thai-Burma Railway, made famous by the movie ‘The Bridge on the River Kwai’, and he reveals both the real story behind this infamous railway line, and debunks the many myths about this extraordinary story.
He discusses why it was so important to build and why so many people died during its construction.
