Red Cross Aids Impoverished Family of 11-Year-Old Girl in Phetchaburi

On June 22, 2025, local authorities and Red Cross members in Phetchaburi Province conducted a humanitarian mission to support a poverty-stricken family in Nong Sala Subdistrict, Cha-am District. The family includes an 11-year-old girl whose parents rely on low-income jobs such as cattle herding and charcoal production for survival.

Under the direction of Phetchaburi Governor Pol. Lt. Col. Phopchanok Chalanukroh and the provincial Red Cross president Natthinee Khongbuchakian, Cha-am District Chief Kaew Khongwong and Red Cross representative Noppawan Khongwong led the initiative. They were joined by local administrative officials, community volunteers, village leaders, and public health officers.

The team visited the family’s residence at House No. 44, Moo 1, Nong Sala Subdistrict, and provided initial support, including ten bags of rice. The outreach follows ongoing efforts by the district office, local health volunteers, and the subdistrict administrative organization to monitor and assist the family.

Authorities confirmed that the family had received support even before their story gained wider attention. Further assistance and evaluations will be conducted as needed, and updates on the case will be shared with the public in due course.
