On 20 June 2025, the Hua Hin Municipality Council held its first ordinary session of the year to review policy directions and discuss development strategies across key sectors, according to official reports from the council meeting.
The mayor of Hua Hin outlined eight policy areas aimed at improving urban infrastructure, local economy, environmental sustainability, and public services. Among the priorities, the administration emphasized sustainable infrastructure, targeting improvements in utilities to ensure convenience, cleanliness, and safety for residents.
Economic and tourism policies focus on boosting income through career support mechanisms, guided by the principles of the sufficiency economy philosophy. Environmental strategies aim to establish Hua Hin as a city with a high quality of life and long-term ecological balance.
Public health development was discussed with a focus on holistic well-being and promoting safe living practices within the framework of the new normal. Educational policies seek to upgrade learning standards across formal and informal systems, alongside continued support for religion and cultural heritage.
The administration also reaffirmed its commitment to good governance, enhancing community development, and social welfare through collaboration with various sectors. The Smart City initiative remains a cornerstone, with plans for integrated digital infrastructure to improve municipal management and service delivery.
Following the policy presentation, several advisors and special assistants to the mayor were appointed to provide strategic counsel and policy recommendations.
