SMART Patrol Reviews May Operations, Sets Plan for July

The head of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park convened a review meeting of the SMART Patrol system on June 12, focusing on the outcomes of operations conducted in May and setting strategies for patrols scheduled through July 2025.

The meeting took place at the visitor center conference room at Khao Daeng within the national park, located in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. It aimed to assess the effectiveness of recent patrols carried out under the Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool (SMART) system, a national initiative used for enhancing conservation enforcement and monitoring within protected areas.

The planning session also included the allocation of field supplies and provisions for park rangers. These supplies are essential for supporting the SMART Patrol units in carrying out extended surveillance and data collection missions in remote forest areas.

The session was led by Phisit Charoensuk, chief of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, and attended by a delegation from the Office of Protected Area Regional 3 (Phetchaburi), which oversees conservation activities in the region.
