Coffee Festival in Hua Hin Showcases Thai Robusta

Local coffee producers were placed in the spotlight during the inaugural IMJAI × Coffee Festival held from June 11 to 15, 2025, at Bluport Hua Hin Shopping Mall.

Organized to promote the potential of Thai organic Robusta coffee, the event aimed to support local entrepreneurs and expand the reach of community-grown coffee to international markets.

The festival featured more than 50 booths representing coffee businesses from across the region. Over five days, attendees had access to a range of educational and interactive activities designed to inspire and inform. These included coffee cupping workshops, beginner-friendly drip brewing tutorials, and discussions on topics such as sustainable coffee farming and the future of Thai Robusta in the global market.

Highlights included live demonstrations by award-winning baristas from Chumphon and roasting techniques for beginners. The event also provided a platform for experienced baristas to share insights with aspiring coffee professionals, underlining the commitment to skill development within the community.

Bluport Hua Hin, the primary venue sponsor, emphasized its role as a lifestyle and tourism hub in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The shopping center has expressed interest in making the IMJAI × Coffee Festival an annual event, positioning it as a recurring platform to elevate Thai Robusta and support a new generation of coffee growers.

The opening ceremony on June 12 was led by Sansanee Kasetsinsombat, Provincial Agriculture Officer of Prachuap Khiri Khan, with the presence of local officials and representatives from the agricultural and business sectors, as well as many visitors.
