Volunteers Plant Vetiver Grass in Huai Sai Nuea

On 26 May 2025, a community development initiative involving the planting of vetiver grass was launched in Huai Sai Nuea Subdistrict, Cha-am District. The project aims to support environmental rehabilitation and sustainable land management through grassroots participation.

The activity is part of a broader campaign inspired by royal initiatives promoting the use of vetiver grass to combat soil erosion and enhance water retention in rural areas. Local residents, students, and educators took part in the planting efforts, which are expected to contribute to long-term ecological benefits in the region.

The event emphasized community engagement and environmental awareness, aligning with national goals to promote sustainable land development in vulnerable zones.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Kaew Kongwong, Chief District Officer of Cha-am and Director of the Cha-am Royal Volunteer Coordination Center. Also in attendance were village headman Yai Oh Rodphon, officials from the Huai Sai Nuea Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and students and teachers from Phu Wai School, Huai Sai Prachasarn School, Nong Kham School, and Bo Luang School.
