Senator Visits Pran Buri to Hear Local Community Concerns

On May 24, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., Senator Nichapa Suwannanak visited Khao Chao sub-district in Pran Buri District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, to engage with local residents and listen to their pressing concerns. The meeting took place at the multipurpose pavilion in Ban Tha Krathun, Village No. 5, as part of a broader initiative to gather direct feedback from communities across the country.

The visit was part of an outreach program intended to strengthen public participation and ensure that local voices are included in national dialogue. Among the issues raised by residents were repeated crop damage and land intrusion caused by wild elephants, the lack of electricity in certain areas for over a decade, unresolved land rights disputes, persistent drug-related problems, and severe water shortages impacting agriculture.

Local administrative leaders presented detailed accounts of these challenges. These included Mr. Kasem Suwannachat, Chief Executive of the Khao Chao Subdistrict Administrative Organization; Mr. Chalermchai Kaewkrachang, Deputy Chief Executive of the same organization; and Mr. Prayoon Chunkaeo, Chief Executive of Bueng Nakhon Subdistrict Administrative Organization.

Pran Buri District Chief Ram Singhasophit and representatives from local government units also attended the session. Public feedback was actively encouraged, and attendees were invited to share additional input and suggestions. The information gathered during the session will be reviewed and addressed within the framework of the Senate’s responsibilities and legislative scope.
