Hua Hin Officials Inspect Road and Drainage Project

HUA HIN, Thailand — On May 20, 2025, Hua Hin municipal authorities conducted an on-site inspection of the road construction project at Soi Tawanchai Village in the Bo Fai area, focusing on the installation of a new concrete roadway and integrated drainage system. The inspection aimed to monitor progress and ensure that the infrastructure would be prepared to handle water runoff during the upcoming rainy season.

The road development project includes the installation of drainage pipes alongside a reinforced concrete surface, designed to improve traffic flow and prevent seasonal flooding that has affected the neighborhood in past years. The initiative is part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to upgrade public infrastructure and respond to local concerns over flood mitigation.

Leading the inspection was Mr. Jiravat Phramanee, Permanent Secretary of the Municipality and currently serving as Acting Mayor of Hua Hin. He was joined by Mr. Konlayut Kuyukam, Director of the Engineering Office, along with the project’s hiring inspection committee, site supervisors, and contractors. Together, the group evaluated construction progress and discussed measures to ensure that drainage solutions are effectively implemented before the onset of heavy rains.
