On 19 May 2025, local officials convened in Hua Hin to review the ongoing construction of a ceremonial arch dedicated to King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s upcoming 72nd birthday anniversary. The arch is part of a nationwide initiative to mark the royal milestone on 28 July 2024, which represents His Majesty’s sixth 12-year cycle according to the Thai calendar.
The project, identified as the Central Region’s second model, is being built along Highway 4 (Phetkasem Road) at kilometer marker 230+350 in Nong Kae Subdistrict. It is one of several decorative structures being erected across the country in preparation for the royal celebrations.
The construction is being handled by Phuket and GRC Co., Ltd., a company specializing in plaster and concrete decorative works. The meeting focused on ensuring that the structure adheres to design specifications and remains on schedule.

Details of the session included assessments by technical supervisors and representatives of the procurement committee. The gathering was chaired by Jirawat Phramanee, the Hua Hin municipal clerk currently serving as acting mayor and head of the project’s inspection panel.
