On 24 April 2025, a committee meeting was held to review and advance healthcare services for inmates in Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Prison. The meeting took place at the Phakdi Prakas Conference Room, located on the third floor of the Provincial Public Health Office. The session aimed to evaluate the implementation progress of the ongoing “Ratchathan Pan Suk” project, now in its second phase.

The primary focus of the committee’s first meeting of the year (Session 1/2025) was to support referral hospitals in improving medical care within the prison system. Key agenda items included strengthening the use of telemedicine, establishing isolation rooms, enhancing sanitation systems, and expanding access to healthcare rights through volunteer royal projects.

Efforts are also underway to expand tuberculosis screening among inmates using chest X-rays, with a goal of increasing coverage among both newly admitted and existing prisoners. These initiatives are part of broader efforts to ensure compliance with national healthcare standards for incarcerated individuals.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Preeda Sukjai, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. It was attended by members of the health services development steering committee and representatives from related agencies.
