Prachuap Festival Promotes Culture and Tourism

The province of Prachuap Khiri Khan will host its 15th annual “Three Bays Wonder and Red Cross Fair” from April 25 to May 4, 2025, aiming to boost tourism, showcase local identity, and raise funds for charitable activities. The event will take place at the King Rama IX Park near the provincial hall and along the Prachuap Bay seafront

This year’s festival will feature a wide range of exhibitions, cultural performances, and entertainment. A highlight includes a government exhibition zone under the theme “Next Move Prachuap”, featuring displays from 20 ministries outlining strategic provincial development goals. Topics include marine tourism preservation, agricultural product promotion, water management, and initiatives to position the province as a hub for wellness and safe tourism.

The opening parade on April 25 will begin at 4:00 PM, starting from Wing 5 Air Force Base and proceeding along Salacheep Road to the main venue. The opening ceremony will include a traditional light and sound performance inspired by the ancient local “Phi Phung Tai” folk play, followed by a fireworks display.

Each evening, the central stage will feature a cultural performance representing one of the province’s eight districts, beginning with “The Fisherman’s Son” by Pran Buri on April 26 and ending with “Narung” from Mueang Prachuap on May 3.

Visitors can also expect beauty pageants, agricultural product contests, Thai fabric fashion shows, Muay Thai matches, and a Night Run. The Red Cross lottery will be a major attraction, offering prizes including three cars: a Mitsubishi All New Triton (THB 629,000), Mitsubishi Attrage (THB 529,000), and Mitsubishi Mirage (THB 516,000), alongside motorbikes, refrigerators, washing machines, and other items valued at over THB 2 million. Lottery tickets will be sold for THB 100 each, with the draw scheduled on the final day.

Additional features of the fair include booths selling OTOP goods, local products, consumer goods, and food and drink. Live performances from well-known Thai artists will take place every evening, and admission to the festival is free.

The press conference announcing the event was held at Saranwithi Bridge in Mueang Prachuap on April 23, 2025, with the presence of Governor Sitthichai Sawatsan and several provincial officials from government, tourism, and public health sectors.
