On 17 April 2025, Rotary Thailand reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to road safety through its “Safe Roads Save Lives” campaign, which has been active since 2022. The initiative aims to promote safer driving habits and raise public awareness to reduce traffic-related injuries and fatalities across the country.
The campaign is backed by all four Rotary districts in Thailand and is recognized at the national level as a civil society partner in the Strategic Plan for Cooperation between the Thai Government and the World Health Organization (WHO). This partnership is focused on long-term strategies to prevent and reduce road accidents, a leading cause of injury and death in Thailand.

One of the local initiatives under this broader campaign is led by the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin. Since 2022, the club has sponsored the free replacement of lights on motorcycles with engines up to 150 cc. This effort is designed to improve visibility for riders, particularly during nighttime hours, as a practical measure to reduce collision risks.
Individuals interested in the free light replacement program are encouraged to contact the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin directly for further details. The initiative forms part of the wider civic contribution by Rotary members across Thailand, who continue to support road safety through local projects and community engagement.
