On 10 April 2025, Thailand’s Budget Bureau Region 14 conducted a field inspection in Hua Hin to assess the readiness of a proposed raw water pumping station project, part of the 2026 fiscal year budget proposal aimed at strengthening the local tap water supply.
The inspection focused on a construction project to install a raw water pumping station that would transport water from the Pran Buri Dam to the Hua Hin Municipal Waterworks Department’s treatment facility. The planned station will measure 7 by 14 meters and is expected to boost the volume of raw water available for public use, helping to meet increasing demand in the area.

The project is listed in the 2026 draft budget, with the Hua Hin Municipality requesting 56,612,500 baht in funding from the national Budget Bureau. An additional 19,387,500 baht is expected to come from municipal funds, resulting in a total projected budget of 76 million baht. The goal is to support the long-term capacity and efficiency of water distribution in the municipality.
As part of its mandate, Budget Bureau Region 14 is responsible for overseeing the development and allocation of public expenditure across provinces, regional clusters, and local governments in the Lower Central Region 2. This includes ongoing evaluation and follow-up on key infrastructure projects such as this one.

During the visit, officials collected data, identified potential challenges, and gathered feedback to support effective budget allocation and project implementation.
The delegation was led by Thanisorn Tujinda, Director of Budget Bureau Region 14, accompanied by Nattanan Choengkhlong, Senior Budget Analyst, and staff from the bureau. They were received by local representatives including Lieutenant Likit Nunin, Deputy Municipal Clerk of Hua Hin, Pantip Phetthanawat, Director of the Waterworks Department, and Noppadon Miprawat, Head of Maintenance and Services, at the site near Pran Buri Dam in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
