Berlin Kebabs Hua Hin: A Taste of Germany’s Döner Tradition

Nestled in the emerging culinary hub of Soi 94, Berlin Kebabs is a newcomer to Hua Hin’s dining scene, but not to Thailand’s ever-expanding appetite for quality fast food. Initially launched as Berlin’s Döner Kebab in Bangkok’s bustling Sukhumvit 22 in 2020, the brand quickly carved a niche, evolving into one of Thailand’s most prominent Döner Kebab chains with seven branches across the capital and ambitions reaching Pattaya and Phuket.

Bringing this concept to Hua Hin, Sam Cherix saw an opportunity to diversify the local kebab offerings. He believes Berlin Kebabs will resonate with Hua Hin’s residents and visitors, filling a void in the local food scene with their unique take on this popular dish.

Location and Atmosphere

Situated in the increasingly popular Soi 94, Berlin Kebabs enjoys a central location amidst a growing number of eateries. The restaurant offers outdoor seating, providing diners with a relaxed view of the street life, ideal for people-watching while enjoying a late-night meal, as Berlin Kebabs stays open until midnight.

The Menu: A Close Look

Doner Kebab – The Original Berlin Kebabs’ mainstay is the classic Döner Kebab, available with chicken (179 baht for a mid-size), beef (219 baht), or falafel (199 baht). The kebab can be upgraded to a set with fries and a drink for an additional 60 baht.

The bread, a cornerstone of the Döner experience, is baked in-house in their central bakery, ensuring freshness and authenticity. Light and fluffy, this German flatbread provides a perfect balance to the flavorful fillings. The meat, whether chicken or beef, is locally sourced, halal-certified, and prepared on a traditional Döner machine. Each bite reflects a meticulous blend of herbs and spices, creating a signature taste unique to Berlin Kebabs.

German Currywurst Set Another notable dish is the German Currywurst, served with either fries or rice. For our visit, we chose fries paired with the spicy curry sauce, complemented by a garlic dipping sauce. The sausage, crafted in-house from an exclusive recipe, boasts a robust flavor and firm texture, well-enhanced by the sweet-spicy curry sauce.

Feta and Falafel Salad For those seeking lighter fare, the Feta and Falafel Salad offers a delightful vegan option. It combines deep-fried falafel with crumbled feta, served with a choice of sauces, including garlic, Berlin’s special sauce, yogurt, or spicy.

Final Thoughts

Berlin Kebabs brings a fresh perspective to the kebab scene in Hua Hin, with its commitment to quality ingredients and traditional preparation methods. Whether you’re indulging in a hearty Döner Kebab after a long day or exploring the flavors of a German Currywurst, Berlin Kebabs offers a slice of Germany that’s both authentic and satisfying.
