An ethnic sports competition was held in Prachuap Khiri Khan on March 22, bringing together participants from various communities to encourage physical activity and cultural preservation. The event took place at Ban Phraek Takro Border Patrol Police School in Hua Hin District, with support from the local tourism and sports office.
Organized with funding from the Department of Physical Education under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the competition aimed to provide opportunities for ethnic minority groups, both within and outside the education system, to engage in sports and improve their well-being. It also sought to preserve traditional cultural practices while addressing disparities in access to public services.

The event saw participation from ethnic communities in Pa Mak, Khao Chao, and Phraek Takro villages, with cooperation from local government agencies, community leaders, and educational institutions in Hua Hin and Pran Buri districts. The initiative highlighted a collaborative effort to integrate marginalized groups into mainstream sporting activities.
Senior Hua Hin District official Montri Manichaphong presided over the opening ceremony, while Prachuap Khiri Khan Deputy Governor Preeda Sookjai attended the final football match and traditional sports competitions. He also presented awards to all competing teams and delivered closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in sports.
