A charity cycling event aimed at raising awareness for fishing cat conservation will take place on March 23, 2025, in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The 7th annual “Bike For Fishing Cat 2025: Cycling to Protect the Fishing Cat” will see around 400 cyclists ride a 60-kilometer route between Pak Nam Pran and Sam Roi Yot, promoting both conservation efforts and local tourism.
Organized by the Banana Thai Foundation, the event aims to support fishing cat conservation through partnerships with relevant organizations. A portion of the proceeds will go toward educational programs for underprivileged youth, vocational scholarships, and hospital staff training initiatives. The ride also seeks to encourage exercise and strengthen community ties between the public and private sectors.
The event will start and finish at Maharat Square in Pak Nam Pran, with participants cycling to Wat Bang Pu and Tham Phraya Nakhon before returning. Local government and tourism officials, along with representatives from conservation groups and private organizations, are expected to attend.
