On the evening of March 14, 2025, at Bang Kaeo Viewpoint, Ban Laem District, Phetchaburi, Governor Pol. Lt. Col. Phopchanok Chalanukhro presided over the opening ceremony of the 10th Art of Salt festival under the theme “Hug Kluan Wan” (Sweet Salt Love). The event was attended by local MPs, deputy governors, district officials, and a large number of residents and tourists.
The governor praised the local community’s efforts in transforming salt into breathtaking sculptures, showcasing the region’s rich natural resources and cultural heritage. He invited visitors to explore Ban Laem, Thailand’s largest salt-producing region, and experience the coastal way of life.
The Art of Salt festival features a spectacular display of salt sculptures, including the Hand of Love and The Rice Farmer & Salt Field Maiden, crafted by renowned artists. In addition to the mesmerizing artworks, visitors can enjoy fresh seafood, local delicacies, and live music performances against the scenic backdrop of the Gulf of Thailand.
