On March 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM, officials from the Tourist Police Station 2, Sub-Division 1, Division 3, in Prachuap Khiri Khan met with representatives from the Italian police to discuss cooperation in assisting tourists in the area. The meeting covered the current situation of Italian visitors traveling and residing in Hua Hin, as well as measures to enhance support for tourists in need.

During the discussion, Thai authorities introduced the Thailand Tourist Police Application, designed to help visitors report emergencies and request assistance. They also highlighted the Tourist Police hotline, 1155, as a direct contact for urgent matters.
The meeting took place at the second-floor conference room of Hua Hin Tourist Police Station, with attendees including senior Thai tourist police officers and tourism liaison officers from the Prachuap Khiri Khan Tourist Assistance Center. The Italian delegation was led by Mr. Giorgio Butini, the Italian Police Attaché, accompanied by Deputy Attaché Mr. Marco Mecarelli and their team.
