Prachuap Khiri Khan marked the 109th anniversary of National Cooperative Day on February 26, 2025, with a commemorative event honoring the contributions of Prince Pitayalaphruk, known as the “Father of Thai Cooperatives.” The ceremony took place at the Prachuap Khiri Khan Teachers’ Savings Cooperative in Mueang district.
The event featured a tribute to Prince Pitayalaphruk, acknowledging his role in shaping Thailand’s cooperative system. A message from the Prime Minister was read, emphasizing the continued importance of cooperatives in economic and social development. Additionally, outstanding cooperatives received honorary certificates, along with individuals who contributed to the event’s organization.
Activities included a blood donation drive organized by Prachuap Khiri Khan Hospital, exhibitions on cooperative history and development, and a marketplace showcasing cooperative and agricultural products. The event saw significant participation from cooperative members, government officials, and local residents.
