A high-level working group, operating under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, conducted a site visit to Prachuap Khiri Khan Province on 18 February 2025 to evaluate the progress and feasibility of several key infrastructure projects. The inspection aimed to assess the readiness of initiatives proposed for the 2025 fiscal year budget, ensuring they align with the government’s priorities and address local community needs.
The delegation, led by Mr. Rangsan Wanchaithanawong, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs and Chairman of the Working Group on Screening Plans/Projects No. 3, began their tour at the Huai Yang Phraek Khwa Monkey Cheek Project in Thap Sakae District. This initiative focuses on a large-scale water production system designed to support 121 to 300 households, with a capacity of 10 cubic meters per hour. The project is part of broader efforts to improve water access and management in rural areas.

Later in the day, the group inspected the Road Accident Prevention and Reduction Enhancement Project in Kui Buri District. This initiative involves upgrading road surfaces and installing street lights along a stretch of Phetkasem Road, a critical route connecting local communities. The improvements aim to enhance road safety and reduce accidents in the area.
The final stop was the Smart Pure Compact Two Water Quality Improvement System Project in Sam Roi Yot District. This system, equipped with an on-grid solar cell setup, is designed to provide clean water to households while leveraging renewable energy. With a production capacity of 10 cubic meters per hour, the project underscores the government’s commitment to sustainable development.
Mr. Rangsan emphasized that the findings from the inspections would be compiled and presented to Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul for review. The goal is to secure budget allocations that will enable the timely implementation of these projects, addressing pressing issues faced by local residents.
The visit was attended by several officials, including Mr. Chayut Phummakanchana, Assistant to the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Sora-arok Klinprathum, Chairman of the Advisory Board to the Deputy Prime Minister, and Mr. Prida Sukjai, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Local government representatives, district chiefs, and community leaders also participated in the tour, highlighting the collaborative nature of the initiative.
This inspection underscores the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure that public funds are allocated effectively to projects that deliver tangible benefits to communities across Thailand.
