Hua Hin Hosts First Klaikangwon Charity Run

Hua Hin’s inaugural “Run, Go, It” charity run took place on February 15, 2025, at Suan Luang Rachinee 19 Rai Park. Organized by the Wang Klaikangwon School Alumni Association, the event aimed to promote health and exercise while fostering connections between alumni, students, teachers, and the local community. Additionally, proceeds from the run were directed toward supporting education, sports, and charitable initiatives.

The event featured a non-competitive three-kilometer route designed as a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Runners followed a scenic path starting from Suan Luang Rachinee 19 Rai, passing Wang Klaikangwon Palace, taking a brief stop for souvenir photos in front of Wang Klaikangwon School, and continuing along Phetkasem Road before looping back through Soi Hua Hin 19. Participants were provided with water stations and first aid support, ensuring accessibility for all.

Upon reaching the finish line, runners could exchange coupons for refreshments, take part in a lucky draw, and enjoy recreational games such as darts and ring toss. The event also provided an opportunity for local vendors to generate income through the sale of food and handmade products, aligning with broader efforts to support tourism and local businesses.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Sittichai Sawatsaen, Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Several officials and local figures attended, including Hua Hin Mayor Nopporn Wuttikul, Deputy Mayor Busaba Choksuchat, and representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, law enforcement, and the Wang Klaikangwon School Alumni Association.
