A Swiss tourist was recently stranded atop Khao Chong Krachok in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand, after the gate at the descent was locked. The traveler, identified as Mr. Alexander, contacted the emergency hotline 1155 at 7:28 PM, requesting assistance from authorities as he was unable to descend due to the locked exit near Wat Thammikaram.
In response, Police Senior Sergeant Major Worapong Thongsanit from the Tourist Police Division 2, Sub-Division 1, under Division 3, was dispatched to the scene. Arriving in patrol vehicle TPD 312-33, he coordinated with the abbot of Wat Thammikaram, who then arranged for the responsible caretaker to unlock the gate.
The tourist was able to descend safely and expressed gratitude to the authorities for their swift assistance.
