An American man and his Thai wife are seeking legal recourse after losing 15.2 million baht in a real estate scam in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan province. The couple had invested in two plots of land and a house but have been unable to secure ownership.

Patrick Flippin, a U.S. citizen, and his Thai wife, Vipavanee Kaewmueangklang, turned to the non-profit organisation Saimai Survive for assistance. They also appeared on a Channel 7 news programme on February 5 to raise awareness about their case.
Patrick first arrived in Thailand in 2005, living and working in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit area for five years. He married Vipavanee in 2017 and later returned to the U.S. for work, with plans to retire in Thailand. Vipavanee discovered the Hua Hin property through a social media advertisement, drawn to the area’s appeal.

Officials and representatives from the organisations involved have been made aware of the case as the couple continues to seek justice.
