The annual gilding ceremony at Wat Rai Mai Samakkhi in Rai Mai Subdistrict, Sam Roi Yot District, commenced on January 28, 2025, coinciding with the Chinese New Year celebrations. The event honors revered Buddhist figures, including Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, Luang Pho Wat Rai Khing, and Pho Pu Sam Roi Yot (the fourth statue).
The festival, running from January 28 to February 1, 2025, invites devotees to participate in traditional merit-making rituals, such as gilding sacred images, making offerings, and seeking blessings for prosperity and good fortune in the new year.
The opening ceremony featured a large-scale dance performance by over 500 volunteer dancers from Pran Buri, Sam Roi Yot, Kui Buri, and Mueang Prachuap districts.
