Kui Buri National Park has ramped up patrols in high-risk zones to monitor wild elephants and mitigate potential conflicts with nearby communities. The initiative aims to prevent damage to crops and reduce the impact of elephant activity in residential areas.

Patrols are currently concentrated in key locations, including Moo 5 (Ban Tha Kratun, Khao Chao Subdistrict, Pranburi District), Moo 3 (Ban Nong Paopi, Sala Lai Subdistrict, Sam Roi Yot District), and Moo 7 (Ban Wang Sai, Rai Mai Subdistrict, Sam Roi Yot District). These areas, which include farmland and water reservoirs, have been identified as vulnerable to wild elephant incursions.
Park officials are urging residents to promptly report sightings of wild elephants near communities to ensure swift response and coordination. The patrols are part of the park’s ongoing efforts to balance conservation goals with the safety and well-being of local residents.

The park administration expressed gratitude for community cooperation, emphasizing that collaborative efforts are essential to maintaining harmony between humans and wildlife in the region.
