Prachuap Wongsuk, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police and Director of the Tourist Safety Operation Center. This initiative aligns with government efforts to bolster tourist confidence and stimulate the domestic economy.
Discussions at the meeting focused on comprehensive strategies to safeguard the lives and property of both residents and tourists. Officials emphasized improving preparedness in high-risk areas, implementing crime prevention measures, and addressing potential security gaps. An inspection of tourist facilities and security centers was also prioritized, aiming to boost morale among officers and ensure operational efficiency.

Attendees included Mr. Atichat Chaisri, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin, Pol. Lt. Col. Ananchai Konthong, Chief Inspector of Tourist Police Station 2, and Mr. Niti Wongwichasawat, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Prachuap Khiri Khan Office. Linked with the 1155 Call Center, which operates 24/7 and provides services in eight languages, the app ensures rapid response and seamless coordination with local authorities. Tourists can also access support through the 191 Call Center, ensuring efficient communication and assistance across the district.
