On the evening of January 23, 2025, Prachuap Khiri Khan Governor Sitthichai Sawatsan presided over the opening ceremony of the “International Charity Night 2025” at Hua Hin Market Village. The event, held under the theme “Prachuap Residents United: Weaving Bonds for Society,” brought together a lively mix of Thai and international participants in a warm and vibrant atmosphere.

The annual charity event aims to raise funds for underprivileged schools and students across the province. This year, proceeds will go toward Chonpratan Pranburi School’s Ban Wang Pla branch to purchase solar cell batteries, desks, chairs, educational supplies, sports equipment, and to support English enrichment activities and a lunch program scheduled for February 7.

The evening began with remarks from representatives of key organizations, including Dr. Yunlin Yang, Stamford International University’s Administrative Director, and Mr. Bryan Anderson, President of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin. Methapon Sangkanoy, President of the Stamford International University Rotaract Club and event chairperson, outlined the event’s objectives, emphasizing its focus on fostering community solidarity and supporting youth education initiatives.

In his keynote address, Governor Sitthichai commended the collaboration among government agencies, private organizations, and local communities, including contributions from the expatriate population. He highlighted the significance of nurturing public spirit among youth and fostering creativity through activities like the International Walk fashion show, cultural performances, and artistic displays.

The evening’s highlights included a dazzling fashion showcase featuring renowned beauty queens such as Apisara Thadadolthip, Miss Thailand International 2024; Gemma Sutida Yarnos, Miss Grand Prachuap Khiri Khan 2025; and Eve Boonsita Koetkan, Miss Prachuap Kirikhan 2024. Dressed in stunning evening gowns, they captivated the audience with their grace and elegance.

Another centerpiece of the night was the International Costume and Talent Contest 2025 for students aged 13-15. Participants from across the country competed for prizes totaling 36,000 baht, showcasing remarkable creativity and talent.

The International Charity Night 2025 underscored the rich cultural diversity and communal unity of Prachuap Khiri Khan, serving as a testament to the collective power of collaboration in advancing social welfare and community development. Distinguished attendees included local officials, tourism representatives, and members of various civic organizations, all contributing to the event’s success.
