On January 23, 2025, Hua Hin Mayor Nopporn Wutthikul inaugurated the 10th Luang Pu Kham Games, an annual student sports development event aimed at fostering excellence in athletics. The event, held at Wat Nong Kae Municipal School’s sports field, brought together educators, municipal leaders, and students under a shared goal of promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship.

Rujira Kamtalob, Director of Wat Nong Kae Municipal School, delivered the opening report, highlighting the initiative’s focus on providing children and youth with creative outlets through sports. The program aligns with Hua Hin Municipality’s policy to encourage productive use of leisure time, adherence to competition rules, and opportunities to enhance athletic skills.
The event featured competitions across three main categories:
- International Sports – Included futsal, sepak takraw, volleyball, chairball, pétanque, badminton, e-sports, cycling rallies, jumping ball, caterpillar walking, and basket runs.
- Traditional Games – Featured tug-of-war, sack races, and three-legged races.
- Athletics – Included short-distance sprints and relay races.

Participants were divided into two teams, Purple and Pink, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. The games aim to promote a healthy lifestyle while providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents and advance in their chosen sports.
The event’s success was supported by municipal officials, including Udom Duangkae, Chairman of the Municipal Council, and Thongchai Phetsongkram, a council member, alongside school administrators and teachers. This collaborative effort underscores Hua Hin’s commitment to nurturing youth potential through sports.
