On January 16, 2025, the Cha-am Municipality hosted a National Teacher’s Day event to honor educators and recognize their contributions to society. The ceremony, held at the assembly hall of Cha-am Municipality School 8 Suanson, featured the participation of educational leaders, school administrators, and teachers from the municipality’s nine schools.
The event commenced with a merit-making ceremony, including offerings to ten monks and a sprinkling of holy water, symbolizing blessings and good fortune. This was followed by a reading of the Prime Minister’s National Teacher’s Day message by Nakul Pornsombunsiri, Mayor of Cha-am Municipality.

A key highlight was the recognition of excellence in education. Certificates were presented to outstanding educators, including the “Sri Muang Phet Distinguished Teachers” and top-performing school administrators, as a gesture to boost morale and celebrate the dedication of teachers. The event also included a traditional oath-taking and recitation by teachers, led by a senior educator from Cha-am Municipality School 5 Ban Huai Sai Tai.
Attendees included deputy mayors, municipal council members, and educational directors, all united in celebrating the critical role of teachers in shaping future generations.
