On January 14, 2025, Hua Hin Municipality extended a formal welcome to representatives from Mae Rai Subdistrict Municipality, Chiang Rai Province, as part of a knowledge-sharing initiative focused on disaster prevention and mitigation. The visit aimed to enhance the expertise and preparedness of Civil Defense Volunteers (CDV) in managing potential emergencies.
The delegation, led by Mr. Paisal Phrommalee, Mayor of Mae Rai Subdistrict Municipality, included a team of 51 members. They were hosted at the Civil Defense Volunteer Center located on 19 Rai. The program was designed to provide practical insights into disaster management practices and strategies employed by Hua Hin Municipality.

Representing Hua Hin Municipality, Mr. Siam Sombatthong, Chief of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, and Mr. Apichart Srisuwan, Chief of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, played pivotal roles in facilitating the visit. Civil Defense Volunteer Officers from Hua Hin were also actively involved in the discussions, sharing their experiences and operational frameworks.
The event emphasized collaboration and skill enhancement, reinforcing the importance of inter-municipal cooperation in strengthening disaster response capabilities. The visiting delegation concluded their observations with an appreciation of the host municipality’s initiatives and expressed interest in implementing similar practices in their jurisdiction.
