National Children’s Day Activities Held Across Hua Hin

Hua Hin’s National Children’s Day celebrations took place across multiple communities, with activities designed to engage and inspire local youth. On January 11, 2025, Mayor Nopporn Wuttikul led the opening of events at various locations, including the Huan Don, Nindindang, Golf View, and Bo Fa communities, each hosting unique programs to mark the occasion. These events, which included a mix of entertainment, food, and games, aimed to foster creativity, developmental growth, and positive societal contributions among the children.

In Huan Don community, local leaders and residents gathered at the community hall to provide services such as food, drinks, and recreational activities for the children. Mayor Nopporn Wuttikul, joined by other community leaders, emphasized the importance of encouraging youth to develop their talents and creativity, which will ultimately benefit the country’s future progress.

Similarly, the Nindindang community hosted a National Children’s Day event at the Nindindang community hall, where children participated in various activities and were rewarded with prizes, including bicycles and toys. Representatives from both public and private sectors contributed by offering food and drinks, and the event was supported by more than 30 local organizations.

At the Queen Sirikit Park, the municipality organized an extensive event with performances from students, musical shows, and a range of games. Local influencers, such as ‘Kan Chom Phalang,’ also participated, drawing attention from both the public and media. The community-driven initiative was part of a broader national effort to celebrate Thai National Children’s Day, which falls on the second Saturday of every January. The event is aimed at encouraging children to express themselves and develop a sense of responsibility for their communities.

National Children’s Day in Thailand has been observed since 1958 and was initially celebrated on the first Monday of October before being moved to the second Saturday of January in 1965. This year’s celebrations were underscored by a special message from King Maha Vajiralongkorn, who emphasized the importance of time management as a core value for personal responsibility and success in the future.

In addition to community-level events, the Hua Hin municipality also hosted a seminar focused on the development of Hua Hin’s potential as a special administrative region. This research-led initiative, presented at the Golden Sea Hotel, is a critical step in improving governance and services to better meet local needs.

The celebrations, which continue to grow each year, are a clear reflection of Hua Hin’s commitment to providing opportunities for youth development and preparing them for future roles in society.

Local officials and community leaders, including Deputy Mayor Phailin Kongphan, Council members, and representatives from various public and private sectors, played key roles in ensuring the success of these events.
