On January 8, 2025, at 09:30 AM, the second-floor meeting room of the Hadthong Hotel in Prachuap Khiri Khan saw the launch of the “Integrated Family Strengthening and Development Mechanism” program for the year 2025. The event, aimed at enhancing the family support system in the region, was led by Mr. Prateep Briboonrat, the Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Attendees included Mrs. Supatra Paithoon, the Provincial Social Development and Human Security Officer, alongside representatives from both government and private sectors, local community leaders, and officials from the Provincial Family Development Center.
The purpose of this annual program is to foster the development of family networks, equipping them with the tools and knowledge to address family issues in line with established standards for strong families. By empowering local family development networks, the initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of family-related operations, promote social networking, and establish collaborative mechanisms among various stakeholders. Ultimately, this aims to improve the protection and quality of life for residents in the province.
During the opening ceremony, grants were also awarded to agencies working to adapt environments for elderly and disabled individuals, ensuring safety and accessibility. The event included a lecture on legal aspects of family-related work by experts from the Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office, along with discussions on strategies for the 2025 family development framework, enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable groups, and practical training on accessing social assistance via the “Social Welfare Smart” system.
In addition to the ceremony, participants from local government and social development sectors, including members of the local family development centers, were present to support the goals of the initiative.
