On Saturday, December 14, 2024, the “Run for Unity: One Nation, One Heart” event brought together over a thousand health enthusiasts at the Queen Sirikit Commemorative Stadium in Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani. Organized by the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in collaboration with Park Run Thailand and several partner organizations, the event aimed to promote national unity and healthy lifestyles.
Participants included athletes from across Thailand, members of Park Run Thailand’s 30 venues, and representatives from various health and sports organizations. The event featured diverse activities such as CPR training demonstrations, environmental cleanups, and tree planting. Additionally, a panel discussion allowed participants to share their experiences and the benefits of community running initiatives.
As part of the event, a donation of 89,999.99 baht was presented to the Thai Red Cross Society by Park Run Thailand members. The funds, received by Lieutenant General Dr. Amnat Bali, will aid flood victims in southern Thailand. Leading the event was Dr. Vanida Phansoad, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, alongside Jaroon Kaewmukdagul, Acting Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, and other distinguished guests.
