The Pheu Thai Party (PTP) is set to convene a seminar titled “Project to Enhance the Potential of MPs and Political Personnel” from December 13 to 14, 2024, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Hua Hin Resort in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The event, led by Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra in her role as party leader, will see the participation of core leaders and approximately 400 Members of Parliament. Attendees will travel to Hua Hin aboard the luxurious SRT Royal Blossom train, departing from Hua Lamphong Station in Bangkok.
The seminar aims to strengthen the party’s internal capabilities through a series of activities. Onboard the train, participants will engage in “Brainstorming and Policy Challenge” sessions to enhance political strategies and collaboration. At the hotel, discussions will focus on modernizing the party’s image and improving relationships among members. A special session will explore innovative ways to position the Pheu Thai Party as a more dynamic and appealing political entity.
Preliminary reports indicate that former Prime Ministers Thaksin Shinawatra and Settha Thavisin will join the seminar. Thaksin is expected to participate in an academic capacity, while Settha will travel with the group as a party member. Prime Minister Paethongtarn has taken leave from her official duties to attend the event and will return to Bangkok aboard the same train from Nong Kae Station after the seminar concludes.
Preparations for the event are well underway. Nong Kae Railway Station, located near the Intercontinental Hotel, has been adorned to welcome the delegation. Station master Thongchai Thanomsing reported that the station is fully equipped to accommodate the distinguished guests, with all necessary arrangements for cleanliness, accommodation, and logistics completed. The SRT Royal Blossom train, renowned as Thailand’s most luxurious tourist train, will bring the delegation to Nong Kae Station at noon on December 13.
