On December 9, 2024, Pineapple Valley Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand, announced the appointment of Brian Gibson as its new General Manager. Renowned as one of Asia-Pacific’s premier golf destinations, the championship course aims to continue its legacy of excellence under Gibson’s leadership.
Brian Gibson, a PGA professional originally from Scotland, brings over 15 years of experience managing top-tier golf facilities across China, India, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand. He most recently served as General Manager at Aquella Golf and Country Club in Phang Nga, a position he held since 2022.
With support from Absolute Golf Services, Gibson will oversee all aspects of golf operations, member relations, dining services, and team development at Pineapple Valley. He succeeds Simon Mees, who has transitioned to Ba Na Hills Golf Club in Vietnam.
Established in 2009 on former pineapple plantation land, Pineapple Valley Golf Club was meticulously designed by leading Thai golf architect Pirapon Namatra. It has earned accolades such as “Best Golf Club Experience in Asia Pacific” and was recently named Thailand’s best golf course by a survey of 15,000 international players. The course has garnered over 60 awards in the past decade, including placements in the “Rolex Top 1000 in the World.”
Tjeert Kwant, CEO of Pineapple Valley Golf Club, expressed confidence in Gibson’s ability to enhance the club’s reputation further. “With his extensive experience across Asia-Pacific’s leading golf venues, we are excited to have Brian lead our team and continue setting new benchmarks,” he said.
Complementing the course’s prestige are its award-winning Thai-style clubhouse, the celebrated Mulligans Pub, regarded as one of the most beautiful in Thailand, and the Terrace Restaurant, offering all-day dining options. For more information, visit the club’s official channels.
