On November 12, 2024, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province initiated a rehabilitation project, titled “Ready Heart Program,” and a group psychology project, “Power of the Heart Camp,” aimed at supporting probationers in overcoming substance abuse challenges. Held at Sala Moo 4 in Ban Huai Kriap, Khlong Mongkol Subdistrict, the program is part of a broader national strategy to prevent and address drug-related issues through structured rehabilitation and psychological support.
The initiative, scheduled over two days from November 12 to 13, includes comprehensive support for 40 probationers. The Ready Heart Program focuses on foundational rehabilitation techniques, while the Power of the Heart Camp provides group counseling to reinforce coping mechanisms and promote positive mental health. The project aligns with Thailand’s ongoing commitment to combat drug problems nationwide, intending to reach 66,000 individuals across 1,650 sessions, with a designated budget of 45,000 baht per session. Additionally, the Power of the Heart Camp is set to conduct 34 sessions nationwide, aiming to support 1,020 probationers through group psychological interventions.
Key attendees at the event included representatives from the Prachuap Khiri Khan Probation Office, such as Mrs. Phonpoom Naknoi, Deputy Director, and Mr. Piyachat Haikong, Head of Strategy and Administration, along with volunteer probation officers. The project seeks to provide holistic rehabilitation support, in alignment with Thailand’s fiscal year 2025 goals to suppress and address drug issues.
