On November 12, 2024, authorities confirmed the reopening of the Pong Luk-Bang Kloy area, as water conditions and access routes are now deemed safe for travel. Located within Kaeng Krachan National Park, about 50 kilometers from the park headquarters, this scenic area offers visitors an opportunity to camp, swim, and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. The site, situated near the national park’s ranger station at Huai Mae Salang, provides a peaceful retreat where visitors can enjoy the outdoors and learn about the unique culture of the Karen (Pga K’nyau) ethnic group.
Those planning to visit must register and pay an entrance fee at the park’s visitor center. The entry fees are as follows: Thai adults 60 baht, Thai children 30 baht, foreign adults 300 baht, and foreign children 150 baht.
The reopening encourages sustainable tourism, promoting environmental awareness and discouraging the use of plastic and foam products.
