Ko Chang, often called the “Jewel of the Gulf of Thailand,” has been ranked as the world’s second-best tropical destination by Travel + Leisure magazine. The island, part of Mu Ko Chang National Park, was recognized alongside Southeast Asian hotspots like Palawan in the Philippines and Bali in Indonesia.
Mu Ko Chang National Park Chief Neramit Songsagne expressed pride in the ranking, which places Ko Chang just behind the Maldives, while the Hawaiian Islands took third place.
The ranking highlights Ko Chang’s increasing global appeal, reinforcing Thailand’s status as a top destination for natural beauty and cultural experiences.
