In observance of the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem on July 26, Chiva-Som Hua Hin, a renowned wellness destination, partnered with local students to plant 500 mangrove trees at the Krailart Niwate Mangrove Project. The annual initiative emphasizes Chiva-Som’s dedication to environmental sustainability and the critical role mangroves play in safeguarding both local and global ecosystems.
Engaging the Next Generation in Conservation
This year’s reforestation efforts saw an increased focus on youth involvement, with Chiva-Som aiming to instill conservation values in the younger generation. Approximately 20 students from Wat Nong Kae Municipal School took part in planting the 500 mangrove trees, which included 10 different species.

In addition to the planting activities, Chiva-Som organized an educational visit to Pran Buri Forest Park for 80 members of the 13th Junior Ambassadors of The Preserve Hua Hin Group. The young ambassadors engaged in various conservation activities, such as beach reforestation and the release of blue crabs into the wild, all aimed at promoting the restoration and preservation of vital natural resources.
It was reported that the event was attended by representatives from Chiva-Som, local environmental groups, and educational institutions, reflecting a shared commitment to protecting and enhancing the region’s natural heritage.
